Windoze Update Does It Again

The latest Windoze 10 update (version 1809) has been wreaking havoc all week.
I’ve had 3 machines in as many days that went casters up after the latest update.

  • No Boot Scenarios.
  • Different for each machine but clearly the result of an update.
  • One I could work around and the other 2 required a full reset or reinstall.

This is why I HATE Windoze Ten.

We have no control over the buggy update releases by Micro$oft.

It does keep me busy though.

So THANKS Micro$oft for keeping my cash flow positive.

Here is what you need to do to protect yourself from MicroSnot trashing your computer

  1. Have a full LOCAL backup on an external drive – check it regularly.
  2. Have a full CLOUD backup
  3. Create a Windows Repair Disk (CD if you have an optical drive)
  4. Create a Windows Repair Drive (USB)
(type “backup” into Cortana and follow directions – don’t backup system files)

Short Bio: The Computer Wizard (TCW). TCW was founded by Warren P. Harris in 1994 to service and repair computers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocating the business to Plano, Texas in 1999, TCW continued to flourish when an unfortunate loss of data for a wedding Mr. Harris photographed, caused him to research data recovery options. Realizing he would have to either pay someone to recover the photos or find out how to do it himself, the rest, as they say "is history". Approached by a friend who was a Private Investigator in 2006, Mr. Harris studied for his Investigator's license and began honing his skills in Computer Forensics. The company was renamed DFW Computer Integration in 2015.
