DFW Computer Integration

The hardest thing to clean out of a computer is TAR.

Lots of cigarette ash is a project as well.

But TAR is by far the worst.

Over the course of 3+ decades in computer repair and service, we have seen a lot of things.  Nothing – and I mean NOTHING is as disgusting as having to open up the chassis of a computer used by a heavy smoker.  The photos in this gallery show the massive TAR buildup on the components of a computer.  This is a very sticky substance that can only be removed with industrial solvents.  Think about that for a minute.  No amount of air or brushing will remove this substance.  If your computer looks like this, what do you suppose your lungs look like?

Your computer is like a stationary vacuum cleaner.  The circulation fans suck air in through all the available openings and force it back out through the chassis exits.  This is done to keep it running cool enough for good performance.  Unfortunately it also sucks in animal hair, dirt — and yes — smoke.  So if you smoke around your computer, it sucks in the smoke and ash from your cigarettes and it all sticks to the insides of your computer.  Not only is this incredibly disgusting, but it is very bad for the moving parts (fans) in the computer, which slow down and eventually fail under the heavy load.
